ANEEL: Process mapping, redesign and management
The challenge
ANEEL, the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency, is responsible for the provision of favorable conditions for the Brazilian electric energy market. To better achieve its institutional mission, ANEEL felt the need to better understand and improve its organizational processes.
The solution
Memora was chosen as the provider to develop solutions, such as:
 the implementation of IDS-Scheer ARIS tools, to help with process mapping and redesign;
process requirements specification and process remodeling;
strategy review and organizational structure reformulation;
staff training to accelerate knowledge transfer and user adoption of the new tools and methodologies.
The benefit
The results achieved by ANEEL include:
consolidation of a new governance model, with a more integrated framework helping increase the agility of the Agency's decision-making process;
establishment of a systemic and integrated view of the organizational processes, from needs and requirements definition through quality assessment of products and services;
definition of a set of metrics to monitor the performance of organizational processes;
development of a systematic approach to process improvement and innovation, in conformance with the Agency's strategies, enabling the continuous and proactive adaptation to the constant changes in the external environment.
